International Women’s Day - Free Self-Defense Workshops

I am excited to support International Women’s Day this week on Wednesday, March 8. The theme of the IWD 2023 #EmbraceEquity campaign is to get the world talking about why equal opportunities are not enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action.

To support IWD, I’m offering two free 45-minute Introduction to Self Defense Workshops on March 8, one live-in person in New York City and a virtual class to help women gain confidence, feel strong, and empowered. Learn these vital skills as you take steps toward an equal and equitable future, feeling more confident, secure, and able to defend yourself!

As a Fifth Degree Black Belt in Kimura Shukokai International and six-time Individual World Karate Fighting Champion, I am inspired to achieve more when I train with an international group of karate women at our international training sessions and competitions. We are from different countries and backgrounds and support and push each other to raise our bar and build our confidence.

Each workshop will only accommodate 25 women. Registration is required, and the NYC address or the Zoom link will be provided after registration. All participants are required to complete a waiver and liability form.

These workshops will teach you practical self-defense techniques and give you the mindset and strategies to stay safe in any situation. My goal is to help you feel secure when walking around alone or not to be afraid when you’re out too late. I want to teach you to be more aware, confident and provide you with the life skills that can help you in any difficult situation.

I invite you to join me for one of these free Introduction to Self-Defense Workshops on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Live class is 6:15-7:00 PM EST in NYC, and the virtual class is

7:15-8 PM EST.
